Cu Camara's job involves diving in the city's sewage system to clear blockages and repair infrastructure, on an average of four times a month, for about 30 minutes to six hours depending on the amount of work needed. Cu Camara, who started working as a sewer diver 30 years ago, uses a diving suit and helmet that weigh more than 40 kg to protect him during his dives. During his working experience, he has found dead humans, horses, weapons and car parts among other things. Mexico City has a drainage system which measures more than 7,456 miles (12,014 km) long. Flushers Tim Henderson (L) and Stan Cheeseman pose for a photograph with land surveyor Neil Lloyd (R) in the Thames Water Fleet sewer, a Victorian sewer system designed by Joseph Bazalgette, beneath the streets of London March 13, 2013. After heavy rainfall, raw sewage gushes into the River Thames from a network of dank sewers beneath the streets of London. A Victorian-era problem that has never been fixed, the cobweb-laced tunnels just metres from a new railway station at Blackfriars underscore Britain's infrastructure backlog. The need for a new "super sewer" for Europe's financial capital was identified as far back as 1989 but privatised utility Thames Water, lacked government funding and had more pressing priorities such as cleaner drinking water. Children fill their jerry can with water in a slum area of the Akhdam community in Sanaa October 24, 2012. Yemeni Akhdam, or servants, are similar to hereditary castes, but are distinguished by their African features and the menial jobs they perform. Widespread prejudice places the Akhdam at the bottom of Yemen's social ladder. Asked about the origins of the Akhdam, Yemenis say they are descendants of Ethiopians who crossed the Red Sea to conquer Yemen before the arrival of Islam some 1,400 years ago - making them outsiders in their own country. Most live in slum areas in the outskirts of the capital Sanaa and other main cities. They reside in small huts haphazardly built of wood and cloth, without basic services such as running water, electricity and sewage networks. REUTERS/Khaled Abdullah (YEMEN - Tags: SOCIETY POVERTY)

A drain pipe empties into Jamaica Bay along the eastern shore of the Gateway National Recreation Area National Park in the Brooklyn section of New York City, August 3, 2007. A new study shows that New York's wildlife-rich saltwater marsh islands within Jamaica Bay, a sensitive tidal bird and fish habitat near JFK International Airport, are disappearing faster than had been known due to rapid degradation that may be caused by dumping of treated sewage and a cutting off of sediments that feed the marshes. Some 20 percent of America's sensitive migratory bird species stop in Jamaica Bay's marshes. REUTERS/Mike Segar (UNITED STATES)

Sewage pipes of a residential house are seen in Dal Lake in Srinagar May 29, 2007. For Dal Lake, an ebb in Kashmir's separatist insurgency and tentative peace moves between India and Pakistan has come none to soon. Raw sewage, land encroachment and years of neglect have been threatening the survival of a lake where visitors from Mughal emperors to George Harrison once enjoyed the idyllic stillness of its waters surrounded by Himalayan mountains. A Nigerian child squats by an open sewer in the neighbourhood of Isale-Eko in central Lagos, April 14, 2007. With unrivalled funds and powers of incumbency, analysts say Nigeria's People's Democratic Party should coast to victory in elections that began in Africa's most populous nation on Saturday. But endemic corruption, failure to deliver basic services and deteriorating security have boosted the chances of the opposition in many states. REUTERS/Finbarr O'Reilly (NIGERIA)
