A BEAUTICIAN APPLIES MASCARA ON SHOPPER AFTER TAIPEI STORE RE-OPENED
FOLLOWING SARS SCARE.
A beautician at Taipei's Sogo Department Store applies mascara to a shopper,
who removed her face mask, for a makeover on May 13, 2003. Sogo, one of
Taiwan's largest department stores, was shut for three days to be
disinfected after a cashier was diagnosed with Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome (SARS). More than 3,000 shoppers poured into the store when it
re-opened on Tuesday, attracted by large discounts. REUTERS/Simon Kwong
