Two Indonesian men stand guard behind a fence surrounding a predominantly ethic-Chunese luxury housing complex in West Jakarta November 3. Indonesia's ethnic Chinese were particular targets of the violence and some human rights groups said at least 168 were raped in a systematic campaign, sparking widespread anti-Indonesia protests especially in Chinese communities around the world.

A girl and her parents, joins dozens of protesters as they stage a candle light vigil outside the Indonesian consulate in Hong Kong August 26, paying tribute for those who were killed during the May riots in Indonesia. The group also denounced Indonesia's denial of systematic rapes to ethnic Chinese. Indonesia's intelligence services was quoted on Tuesday saying there was no evidence to support allegations of systematic rapes during the riots.

Protesters from the Democratic Party chant slogans outside China's Foreign Ministry office in Hong Kong August 26. They are against China offering loans to Indonesia while the country denies systematic rapes to the Chinese during the May riots in Jakarta. Indonesia's intelligence services was quoted on Tuesday saying there was no evidence to support allegations of systematic rapes during the riots, which were denounced by several human rights and non-governmental groups. Placard in Chinese reads "Protect women and defend human rights".
