Perth-based Australian student Ross Connell (R), 17, leads his blind brother Erik, 18, on a tandem bike in Hinkong, 60 kilometres north of Bangkok February 13 on their way to the capital. A team of 46 blind and visually-impaired cyclists neared the end of their 600 km trip from the Laos border to campaign for disabled rights. Fourty-three blind Thais and three blind Australians ranging in age from 12 to 57 years were accompanied by 29 sighted guides, who travelled on tandems with the most disabled riders.
