Relatives of the Gallardo family, six of whom died during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet in a human rights case known as "Rinconada de Maipu", stand inside Chile's Supreme Court building at Santiago July 31, 2015. Local media reported that a judge of the Court of Appeals of Santiago issued a judgment of first instance against five former members of the Direccion de Inteligencia Nacional (DINA), the secret police during Pinochet's regime, as responsible for the deaths of the six Gallardo family members. Their deaths were originally attributed to a "confrontation" that occured in the hills of "Rinconada" near the Maipu district in November 1975. The tshirts of the relatives, bearing images of the victims, read, "We demand a public apology to TVN (National Television) and Channel 13 (by news coverage) of the false confrontation of "Rinconada de Maipu". A man walks past a TV screen broadcasting a news program about Islamic State hostages Jordanian air force pilot Muath al-Kasaesbeh (top R) and Japanese journalist Kenji Goto (top C), along a street in Tokyo January 29, 2015. An audio message purportedly from Goto being held by Islamic State militants said al-Kasaesbeh also captured by the group would be killed unless Sajida al-Rishawi (bottom R), an Iraqi female prisoner in Jordan, was released by sunset on Thursday. The message appeared to postpone a previous deadline set on Tuesday in which the journalist Goto, said he would be killed within 24 hours if the Iraqi was not freed.
