Passers-by look at a bike adorned with trinkets and Mexican and the U.S. flags in Pasco, Washington March 21, 2015. The afternoon before Antonio Zambrano-Montes was shot dead by police after he pelted them with rocks, the farmworker had walked out of a Washington state jail a free man. The Feb. 10 killing, about 24 hours after the Mexican immigrant's release, sparked outrage in a Latino majority community that has likened his death to police slayings of unarmed black men in Missouri and New York. A coroner's inquest is to begin in May, after which a prosecutor will decide whether to bring charges against the officers. His family and civil rights groups are calling for a federal probe. Vendors sell trinkets in a tourist district of Khao San Road in Bangkok May 27, 2014. The Thai army's imposition of martial law is another blow to the country's tourist industry, adding to the economic pain from six months of destabilising street protests as airlines cut back on flights and concern over insurance adds to travellers' worries. Tourism makes up about 10 percent of Thailand's economy and the ebbing number of visitors contributed to a fall in gross domestic product in the first three months of the year, adding to fears the country is sliding into recession. A bust of Soviet state founder Vladimir Lenin is seen at a trinket stand during an anti-austerity demonstration in Madrid March 22, 2014. Tens of thousands of protesters from across Spain converged in Madrid on Saturday calling for an end to EU-imposed austerity which has deepened poverty amongst the worst-off. The so-called "Dignity Marches" brought tens of thousands to the capital, Reuters witnesses calculated, in support of more than 160 different causes - employment, housing, health and education and an end to poverty amongst them. A street vendor sells bean sandwiches, with a sign which reads "Beans of 25 January Revolution", at Tahrir Square in Cairo March 14, 2012. A year after it claimed centre stage in the Arab Spring, Cairo's Tahrir Square has become a giant open-air market where capitalism is meeting the revolution. Failed attempts by Egypt's security officials to evict protesters still camped out at Tahrir have emboldened growing numbers of street vendors who converge on the square to hawk trinkets, footwear and even fruit emblazoned with subversive messages. Samdhong Rinpoche, prime minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, casts his vote during elections for a new prime minister in the northern Indian town of Dharamsala March 20, 2011. Three secular candidates are battling to fill a vacuum created by the Dalai Lama's move to relinquish political power after more than five decades as head of the Tibetan government-in-exile based in Dharamsala, a north Indian town of temples, hotels and trinket shops. The March 20 vote for prime minister may prove a landmark in replacing a religious monarchy with a more radical leader claiming democratic legitimacy to speak for Tibetans, dealing a huge symbolic blow to China's claims to rule the region.
