A traditional Chinelo costumed dancer is seen while a man holds his bicycle during a celebration 40 days after the birth of Jesus, in Xochimilco on the outskirts of Mexico City, February 2, 2015. The tradition of the Chinelo dates back to colonial times and the outfits and masks, which are supposed to resemble the faces of the Europeans and always sport an uptilted beard, became more elaborate between the 1800s and 1900s to make fun of the upper social classes. A visitor to a house covered in Halloween decorations looks over the scene in the front yard in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, Illinois, October 27, 2014. Breathtaking purple-and-orange light displays, zombie graveyards, mutilated mannequins and singing inflatable pumpkins are just some of the front-yard Halloween decorations that Americans are expected to spend $7.4 billion on this year. In the Chicago suburb of Naperville, the displays got so elaborate that Annette Wehrli decided to set up a tour. Wehrli's Naperville Trolley & Tours, which has run tours of Christmas lights for 19 years, put Halloween on the schedule at the suggestion of enthusiastic residents of the sprawling upper middle-class city of 200,000. Pilates instructor Zainab Abbas (L) leads a class at her fitness studio in Lahore February 19, 2014. Abbas opened her fitness studio, Route2Pilates, in Lahore after receiving training in Bangkok, Thailand. She carries out rehabilitation workouts for people with joint problems as well as specialised workouts for pregnant women. Though instability continues to plague Pakistan and many areas are dominated by social conservatism, some of the country's more affluent residents have worked to fashion a very different kind of lifestyle for themselves. Pictures of men and women taking part in all sorts of activities and professions - from being a pilates instructor, to a textile retail entrepreneur, to a member of a rock band - offer a different view of Pakistan to images of conflict that often make the news. A night view of the middle-upper class residential sector of Miramar in San Juan, March 11, 2014. Puerto Rico on Tuesday sold $3.5 billion of junk-rated bonds at a surprisingly low tax-free interest rate under 9 percent, which was still high enough to tempt investors to snap up the bonds despite the Caribbean island's difficult cash position. Worries linger about Puerto Rico's economy, which has been shrinking nearly non-stop since 2006 and suffers from a dwindling population, high unemployment now topping 15 percent, and chronic government budget deficits. Homeowner Gary Gless sits on a hill in his neighborhood overlooking drilling wells in Los Angeles
Homeowner Gary Gless sits on a hill in his neighborhood overlooking drilling wells in Los Angeles, California December 11, 2013. The United States has a long history of keeping industrial activity out of middle and upper-middle-class residential neighborhoods. But that is starting to change with the spread of new technology for oil and gas drilling, such as horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking." Freeport-McMoRan, part of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc, said that, for the past three years, its surveys of the oilfield and surrounding communities have found no connection between its activities and "localized claims of property damage." It said it would continue to evaluate the issue. Picture taken December 11, 2013. To match Analysis FRACKING-HOMEOWNERS/ REUTERS/Mario Anzuoni (UNITED STATES - Tags: ENERGY BUSINESS REAL ESTATE)
