A suspected case of foot-and-mouth was found in North Yorkshire
February 26, 2002, just weeks after Britian declared itself
foot-and-mouth free. A statement from the Department for Environment,
Food and Rural Affairs said the suspected case has been found in
Hawnby, near Thirsk. Livestock movements in a five mile radius to the
