seekers out of the office of the United Nations High Commission for
Refugees (UNHCR) in Jakarta October 29, 2001, after they had protested
for over three days at the office. Thousands of Middle East and Afghan
immigrants go to Indonesia every year and wait for years to get on a
boat or try to get refugee status from the UNHCR, which will resettle
