Olga Yegorova of Russia shows off her gold medal August 12, 2001, which
she received for her first place finish in the women's 5000 meter final
at the World Championships in Athletics in Edmonton. Yegorova won the
August 11 race in 15 minutes, 03.39 seconds after being cleared to run
in the World Championships despite failing a recent doping test. She
was cleared to run because the test did not conform to IOC
regulations.
