New York artists Spencer Tunick arranges more than 2,000 volunteers for a landscape photograph of nudes against a prominent Melbourne back drop on October 7, 2001. The city of Melbourne is the latest part of Tunick's world project of nudes in public places, and also part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. 

Naked bodies lie tight together on a square in the city of Fribourg in the early morning of July 8, 2001 during a photo session with artist Spencer Tunick. The New York artist creates images of what he calls "Nude Landscapes" with naked volunteer models in various settings. The session in Fribourg was the start of a "Tour of Seven Continents". 

Photographer Spencer Tunick (R) photographs almost 150 nude volunteer models under the Williamsburg Bridge in Manhattan, New York City, early June 4. The city had tried to stop the photo session by asking Supreme Court Justice [Ruth Bader Ginsburg] to overrule a lower court ruling upholding Tunick's right to take the outdoor photo. Tunick is an artist who is trying to photograph large groups of nudes across the country as part of his "Naked States Tour."
