Footprints are left on the shore of Sydney's Bronte Beach in this picture taken October 26, 2004. Australia has the world's highest rate of skin cancer. Twenty years of sun protection warnings have made sun-loving Australians more vigilant about exposure to UV radiation at the beach but they are more than twice as likely to be sunburned at home, according to The Cancer Council Australia's National Sun Survey. A footprint is seen at the beach of Pass Christian, Mississippi, on May 9, 2007, nearly two years after hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. There is an above-average chance that a major hurricane will hit the U.S. Gulf Coast this year, marking a possible return to the destructive seasons of 2004 and 2005, leading storm forecasters predicted on Tuesday. Hurricanes in 2005 devastated New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast, and knocked out a swath of the country's offshore oil platforms and coastal refineries, pushing oil prices to then-record highs. In 2004, four strong hurricanes struck Florida, the country's biggest citrus producer. REUTERS/Carlos Barria (UNITED STATES)

Footprints and bike tracks mark the dry bed of the Pedro Beicht reservoir in

to a three-month drought in the Sao Paulo region, the water level at Pedro
Beicht has reached its lowest level since the reservoir was built in 1936,
forcing the government to enforce water rationing for the 440,000 people who
live in the surrounding area. NO RIGHTS CLEARANCES OR PERMISSIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS IMAGE REUTERS/Paulo Whitaker
