Life In The Shadow Of The Border Fence - 25 Aug 2014
The barrier was designed to reduce the flow of illegal border crossings along the Mexico - United States international border. The construction of the fence was funded by the Secure Fence Act of 2006 which provided for the construction of 700 miles (1,100 km) of high-security fencing.
