Japan's Nuclear Tsunami Wall - 21 May 2013
Chubu Electric Power Co.'s Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, located beachside and at water level, is widely reported to be “one of the world's most dangerous nuclear plants” because of its proximity to a major tectonic plate boundary like the one that produced the earthquake and tsunami of March 2011 and the attendant Fukushima nuclear disaster. A major supplier, Hamaoka provides power to half of the 18 plants that make Toyota vehicles in Japan and all four of Suzuki Motor Corp's domestic car and motorcycle factories. The coverage area also includes Honda and Mitsubishi Motors plants as well as a Sharp LCD factory and a Toshiba semiconductor plan.
