South korean Foreign Minister GongRo-myung February 20 declares an exclusive economic zone around South Korea's coast, in which the country has the exclusive right to exploit natural resources and establish artificial islands. The move is seen as retaliatory against Japan, whose cabinet earlier made a similar announcement.
