Workers clean oil from the beach at West Angle bay near Milford Haven, February 22. The oil came from the Sea Empress tanker which had run aground on the near-by St. Ann's Head. It has been estimated that in the region of 65,000 tonnes of oil had leaked into the sea before the tanker was refloated and towed, last night, to a mooring at the port of Milford Haven.
