Passers-by run between cars in central Sofia after heavy snow blanketed the Bulgarian capital on February 23. Bus and train traffic in Sofia was badly hampered and hundreds of citizens were late for work due to the snow. Reservoirs around Bulgaria are being carefully monitored as there is a danger of water, swollen by the heavy snow, overflowing their banks.
