FORMER IRAQI PRISONERS OF WAR ARRIVING AT PRESSER
Seven former Iraqi Prisoners of War in Iran arrive at a news conference where they announced plans to publicise the pictures of other Kuwaitis who remain missing during their county's occupation by Iraq in an attempt to trace the people. The former POW's also explained their mistreatment and torture during their fifteen years in detention. Kuwait and its ally the United States say a full accounting of the missing is one of the several conditions Iraq must meet before economic sanctions imposed after its 1990 invasion can be lifted.
