HOME SECRETARY JACK STRAW AT FIREARMS PRESS CONFERENCE IN LONDON
Home Secretary Jack Straw (R) is briefed by Inspector Roger Ralph of the Firearms Enquiry Team (L) on the type of guns expected to be surrendered as Britain's biggest mass surrender of firearms started July 1. In the wake of the Dunblane massacre and a subsequent change of law, shooters now have until the end of September to give up their weapons or face the prospect of a ten years jail sentence.
