Israeli schoolgirls comfort each other soon after learning that seven of their schoolmates were killed and six more wounded by a Jordanian soldier who opened fire on them while they were on a field trip to a border site nicknamed "The Island of Peace" March 13. The soldier emptied the clip of his rifle into a crowd of 13- and 14-year-old schoolgirls until he was overpowered and arrested.
