IRAQI SHOPPERS HURRY TO BUY FOOD AT A BAGHDAD MARKET
Iraqi shoppers hurry to buy food at a Baghdad market, March 25. Some 500 tonnes of foodstuffs bought under Iraq's oil-for-food deal with the U.N. have arrived in Iraq. The food arrived three months after implementation of the deal which allows Iraq to sell $2 billion worth of oil over six months to buy humanitarian needs for Iraqis suffering from U.N. sanctions imposed for Iraq's 1990 invasion of Kuwait.
