Bill Allen, president of UAW Local 425, holds a news release regarding the Ford Motor Company's announcing the discontinuing of the passenger car system at the Lorain Assembly Plant. He said the union members felt betrayed at the news. The announcement came at a news conference here March 17. In addition to killing off the current Thunderbird and Cougar mid-size coupes, Ford said it will discontinue the Probe sport coupe and the Aerostar minivan this summer.
