French President Jacques Chirac is welcomed by an honor guard at the monument to Argentine Liberator Jose de San Martin in Buenos Aires March 17. Chirac is on a three-day official visit to Argentina aimed at strengthening trade ties and boosting participation of French firms in upcoming privatizations.
