A GUARD GUIDES PRISONERS FROM CATIA PRISON IN VENEZUELA
A Venezuelan national guard guides a line of inmates from Catia prison January 25. Venezuelan authorities on Saturday closed the country's most famous prison, site of a controversial visit by Pope John Paull II a year ago. Six-hundred-and-thirty-nine inmates have been transferred from Catia prison to a new prison in the central city of Yare. Catia is scheduled for demolition on February 9.
