A Bulgarian student blows a horn as thousands of his colleagues march throught Sofia's city centre in protest against the ruling Socialist party January 30. Bulgarian protesters stepped up strikes, rallies and blockades on Thursday, unmoved by an appeal from the ex-communist Socialists for talks to set an election date.
