EGYPTIANS WAVE AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM SHIP
Nine Egyptians stand on board a Turkish police boat set for Istanbul port after they were released from a Turkish ship Obo Engin, October 27 carrying 44,000 tonnes of coal from Singapore to Istanbul, which had defied an Egyptian court and fled the Suez canal with nine Egyptian officials. Suez canal authorities said the ship captain had refused to hand over the ship when canal pilots, Egyptian court and security officials boarded it with the shipowners' agent last Thursday night for an alleged non-payment of dues.
