This month's Miss Venezuela contest once again enthralled the nation of 23 million people and made clear that female beauty, natural or otherwise, is big business here. Beyond the radiant smile of 18-year-old winner Veruska Ramirez, Organizers saw long-term profits from an event that regularly tops television ratings, is broadcast in up to 60 countries, often live, and is now on the Internet.
