POLICEMAN JUSTIN VOLPE IN HAITIAN TORTURE CASE IN NEW YORK
Police officer Justin Volpe, 25, leaves state supreme court in the Brooklyn section of New York September 8, following his arraignment on charges in connection with the beating and sexual torture of a Haitian immigrant while in police custody. The victim of the alleged torture, Abner Louima, remains hospitalized with severe internal injuries. Louima say police forced a wooden stick in his rectum.
