MADELEINE ALBRIGHT AT YAD VASHEM HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL IN JERUSALEM
United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright passes a large photograph of a Nazi soldier executing a Jewish woman as she visits the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial's museum September 10, accompanied by Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Eliahu Ben Elissar (C) and outgoing U.S. ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk. Czech-born Albright, who was raised as a Catholic and is now Episcopalian, said she learned for sure for the first time this year that her family was Jewish. At least two of her grandparents were killed in the Holocaust.
