ALBRIGHT WIPES AWAY TEARS AT THE YAD VASHEM IN JERUSALEM
United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright wipes away tears September 10 in the "Hall of Remembrances" in the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, as a Rabbi sings a prayer honoring the the six-million Jews who perished at the hands of the Nazis during World War II. Czech-born Albright, who was raised as a Catholic and is now Episcopalian, said she learned for sure for the first time this year that her family was Jewish. At least two of her grandparents were killed in the Holocaust.
