COWS GRAZE IN FIELD BY DHAKA AIRPORT
Cows imported from Australia graze near the runway of Bangladesh's Zia International Airport in Dhaka July 5. Some 150 cows have been brought in by a FEDEX aircraft (a U.S. based transportation company) for a Bangladeshi firm Surma Dairy Crest. Bangladesh, with a population of more than 120 million, is having a shortage of dairy products. The government allows duty free import of cows and also bears the cost of transportation of cows to encourage entrepreneurs to set up dairy firms.
