FRENCH BANK BOSS IS RELEASED BY UNIONISTS IN PARIS
Credit Foncier chairman Jerome Meyssonnier accompanied by unidentified unionists as he is led out of his office after being released January 22. Meyssonnier, has been held in his office for six days by demonstrating bank staff angered at French government plans to break up the 145 year old bank. The sign reads"Arthuis - Gravedigger of the Credit Foncier" (Jean Arthuis is the French Finance Minister).
