REPLICA OF FARMAN BIPLANE DISPLAYED AT HONG KONG'S NEW CHEK LAP KOK AIRPORT.
A full-size replica of a Farman biplane is suspended from the ceiling in Hong Kong's new Chek Lap Kok airport May 10. The replica, modelled on the original plane which flew into the territory in 1911 represents the birth of aviation in the region. Thousands of local visitors made the first tour to the new US$20 billion international airport, claimed to be the only in the world to have every gate, terminal and remote capable of taking a Boeing 747 aircraft or larger.
