FEATURE:AQUITANIA,COLOMBIA,24MAY98-TO MATCH WITH SPANISH STORY-COLOMBIA-CHILDREN-A Colombian child named Andres, age 4, sows onion on a small farm near Tota lake in the village town of Aquitania, about 250 kms from Bogota. At least 4,000 children work on onion farms in this region of Colombia, where they make about US$44 per month, working 10 hours a day. UNICEF has launched a program to send most of these children back to school and prevent health problems such as influenza, eye irritation and alcoholism. According to the Labor Ministry 1.75 million children aged between 12 and 17 work in Colombia.
