Approximately 100 protesting taxi drivers walk across the Queensboro Bridge to Manhattan in New York May 21 in opposition to proposed new rules governing licensed cabs. The drivers decided to walk after police prevented a planned convoy of yellow cabs from crossing the bridge. Police, fearing disruptions, also prevented cabs without passengers from entering Manhattan at other entry points.
