UN SECRETARY GENERAL KOFI ANNAN ADDRESSES PARLIAMENT.
United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan (L), accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affiars Emmanuel Gasana (R), answers questions by members of Rwanda's parliament about the U.N.'s lack of action during the l994 genocide of over 800,000 mostly Tutsis. Mr. Annan received a luke warm welcome to Rwanda on this the fifth stop of his African tour. Mr. Annan was head of U.N. peacekeeping operations during the l994 genocide.
