PROSECUTORS WALK TO ARTICLE 32 HEARING IN FATAL CABLECAR ACCIDENT.
Prosecution witness Mark Fallen (L), walks with prosecutors (L-R) U.S. Marine Majors Daniel Daugherty, Carol Joyce and Vernon Counch May 8 to the courthouse at Camp Lejeune for the article 32 hearing of the Prowler jet crew involved in the fatal accident at an Italian ski resort in February in which 20 people were killed when their jet severed lift cables. Daugherty said the aviators should have known they were flying too low and too fast when their EA-6B Prowler dove under the lift cables on a low-level training mission, and should be court-martialed.
