A MODEL WEARS A DIAMOND NECKLACE IN TAIPEU
A model wears a diamond necklace April 3 at a jewelry show in Taipei. The necklace made from diamonds ranging from 10.25 to 20.39 carats, is worth T$390 million (US$11.8 million). Taiwan, with its affluent economy, is one of Asia's biggest diamond markets. Many jewelry makers have tried to explore the Taiwan market since the regional financial crisis. Taiwan's economy has remained relatively unscathed from the crisis.
