Jewish demonstrators lay yellow flowers in front of the courthall in Bordeaux in remembrance of Jews who were deported from Bordeaux to the Nazi death camps, on the last day of Papon's trial for crimes against humanity, April 1. Papon, 87 , is accused of ordering the arrest for deportation of 1560 Jews, including 223 children, during his tenure as the Vichy regime's number two official in the southwest Bordeaux region and supervisor of its service for Jewish Questions. The verdict is expected on April 2nd.
