HONG KONG PROTESTERS ENACT PROVISIONAL LEGISLATURE DEATH SCENE
Pro-democracy demonstrators enact a scene depicting Hong Kong leader Tung Chee-hwa, dressed in black as an oppressor of workers, while a man (L) rubber stamps the disbanding of the Provisional Legislature with the words "temporary legislature, eternal criminals". The protestors gathered outside Provisional Legislature as the Beijing-appointed Hong Kong legislature held its final session before disbandment. A new legislature is to be formed after elections on May 24. The provisional body, appointed after Britain handed Hong Kong back to China last July 1, has been constantly attacked by activists as undemocratic. The banner in the shape of a hand reads "oppress labour".
