A NEWBORN GOLDEN MONKEY HUDDLES UP IN HIS MOTHER'S ARMS IN BEIJING
A two-week-old snub-nosed or golden monkey is huddled up in his mother's arms at the Beijing Breeding Centre for Endangered Animals, 42 kilometres south of the captial March 27. The endangered golden monkey is scattered along a mountainous sliver of southwestern China and efforts to save the monkeys are hindered by rampant poaching for their precious coats.
