PROTESTERS SIT ON TOP OF KLM JET IN HOLLAND
Some of the 13 anti-noise protestors of Milieu Defence, the Dutch arm of Friends of the Earth, sit on a KLM Royal Dutch airliner at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam February 19. The airplane bound for Atlanta was stranded because of the anti-noise protestors after the passengers had already boarded the plane. The activists were protesting against noise volume levels around Schiphol and a government proposal to waive noise limits in order to allow an extra 20,000 flight movements this year.
