Destitute residents of central Jakarta queue to receive handouts of sugar, flour and rice in the Istiqlal mosque, the biggest mosque in Asia, February 24. Riots over food prices have erupted in recent weeks and Amien Rais, leader of one of the country's biggest Moslem groups, has warned President Suharto of a revolt by the "hungry and angry" if the government fails to solve the country's economic crisis within a year. The food was donated by the Moslem community.
