A team of Chinese cleaning ladies sweeps water off the steps of the Great Hall of the People on the eastern side of Tiananmen Square June 26. The Great Hall got a sprucing up today as it will be the venue for the welcoming ceremony for U.S. President Bill Cllinton on June 27. Members of congress have flayed him for agreeing to attend the welcoming ceremony at Tiananmen Square, scene of the 1989 pro-democracy crackdown.
