As New York pitcher Yankees David Cone warms up to start the fifth inning against the Cleveland Indians June 14 at Yankee Stadium, grounds crew staff apply quick dry to the mound. Despite the rain that caused the two other games in the series to be postponed, the teams completed the game as the Yankees won 4-2. Cone extended his record to 9-1, pitching eight innings during which he gave up one run, four hits, two walks and had 12 strikeouts.
