CHILEAN PARLIAMENTARIANS SUPPORT PINOCHET IN MADRID.
Alberto Espina (R), president of Chile's Renovacion Nacional party, talks to reporters at Madrid's Chilean embassy October 22 next to fellow Chilean parliamentarians (L) Jovino Novoa and Juan Antonio Coloma of UDI (Union Democratica Independiente). They criticised the detention of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, who was arrested in London October 17 at the request of Spanish "Superjudge" Baltasar Garzon. The judge wants Pinochet brought to Spain to face trial on charges of genocide, torture and terrorism.
