Visitors gather in the reception area of the Superstar Leo cruise liner October 18. Star Cruises announced the maiden arrival of the first world-class megaship in Asia Pacific on Saturday. The Superstar Leo, built by Meyer Werft in Germany at a cost of US$350 million, includes a shopping plaza, theme bars, 2 swimming pools with 4 jacuzzis, spa and fitness centre, a cinema, nightclub, disco and a casino. The 76,800 gross ton Superstar Leo will be providing affordable value-for-money cruises and is expecteed to carry more than 100,000 international cruise passengers a year.
