Two unidentified algierian residents read newspapers in a booksellers October 17. The four independant daily newspapers El Watan, Le Matin, Le Soir d'Algerie and La Tribune did not appear on October 17, because of a debt payment row with the government-owned printing presses SIMPRAL and SIA. Others daily papers will also be on strike October 18 in support of the independant publications.
