Philippine Airlines (PAL) employees hold banners urging the management not to close the airline during a prayer rally outside the PAL office in Manila September 21. The 57-year old PAL, Asia's oldest national airline, announced last week it was closing shop on Wednesday after the ground crew union reversed its earlier acceptance to management's offer for employees to own 20 percent in the airline in exchange for 10-years' suspension of labour bargainings.
