Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien (L) is introduced to Dean MacDonald (R), Chair of SoftWorld 98, by Newfoundland Premier Brian Tobin (C) in St. John's, Newfoundland September 22. Chretien was visiting the annual international software and information technology conference to announce his government's plans for expanding Electronic Commerce and Internet abilities for Canada. He also presented awards to Canada's top high tech companies.
